About the Role Casual | Full-Time Hours | Pathway to Permanent

We're hiring a Casual Production Operator to join our production team at Gage Roads Brewing, with full-time hours and a genuine pathway to a permanent role for the right person.

This is a hands-on, physical role that suits someone entry-level or experienced in production labouring. Our keg line runs year-round with consistent, steady demand, we supply pubs, clubs and stadiums right across Australia.

As a Production Operator, you'll be responsible for the safe and efficient filling, cleaning and preparation of beer kegs for distribution. That means working to strict food and beverage production standards, maintaining quality and hygiene, and keeping the line moving.

We're looking for someone fit, reliable and switched on, ideally someone who sees this as more than just a job and plans to grow with us over the long term. We ask for a minimum 12-month commitment, and for those who bring the right skills and attitude, there's a clear path to a permanent role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor the kegging line for efficient filling, sealing, and labelling
  • Inspect kegs for cleanliness, integrity, and quality standards
  • Clean and maintain equipment to HACCP and food safety standards
  • Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate complex problems when needed
  • Move and manage kegs safely, assist with inventory
  • Follow health and safety protocols, use PPE correctly
  • Work with brewing, packaging, and logistics teams for timely order fulfilment

  • Physically fit — able to manoeuvre heavy kegs (up to 60kg)
  • Prepared for rotating day/night shifts and weekends
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with noise, heat, and cold

  • Experience in beverage packaging, brewing, or FMCG manufacturing
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
  • High-risk forklift licence
  • First-aid certificate
