Job Description

Field Sales Representative – Central Queensland

Own your territory. Drive real growth. Represent brands people love.

This is a field sales role for someone who thrives on the road, builds genuine relationships, and takes pride in execution. You'll cover Central Queensland with full autonomy over your territory, working across licensed venues, bottle shops, and hospitality outlets to grow distribution and brand presence for Good Drinks Australia's portfolio.

Our office is based in Morningside, QLD and will require travel from time to time for sales meetings. 

Sales results

  • Achieving sales targets, these targets may be customer specific and/or brand specific and will be set by National Sales Manager when deemed appropriate

Brand representation

  • Ensure all designated licensed outlets carry the required range of the company’s products sufficient to satisfy consumer needs
  • Ensure availability of those products at appropriate selling points (i.e. bars, eating areas, bottle shops and restaurants)
  • Ensure that the defined products available are in saleable condition and that stock rotation is maintained
  • Strive to ensure that the company’s products are priced in accordance with our pricing strategy
  • Ensure complaints relating to product quality are dealt with efficiently and promptly, ensuring that all internal procedures are adhered to
  • Identify and permanent signage opportunities and work with the State Sales Manager to secure approved sites

Brand display & merchandising

  • Ensure that the company’s products are displayed prominently at all points of sale in each outlet
  • Strive to ensure that in areas such as bottle shops those products receive prime display space

Point of sale material

  • Ensure POS and signage material, relevant to brand positioning, is placed in prime positions in each outlet
  • All material should be used effectively, with consideration given to quantities used

Promotion

  • Ensure all opportunities are taken to promote the company’s products to the consumer or the retailer without exceeding budgeted funds (unless instructed by the State Sales Manager)
  • Ensure effective use of promotional aids, as provided
  • Ensure that the goodwill and professional image of the company is promoted at all times

Market intelligence

Ensure trends occurring in the marketplace are reported. Particular items will include:

  • Inroads by competitors (bulk and packaged)
  • Increase (or decrease) in consumption in relation to facilities provided (bars, bottle shops etc.)
  • Effect of sponsorship activity on the marketplace
  • Comments relating to the quality and/or packaging of the company’s products
  • Provide advice to licensees on trends which could assist licensee in improving outlet’s performance
  • Clear recommendations as to actions which could assist the company’s performance in the marketplace

Reporting

  • Ensure written reports outlining activities are submitted on time, as agreed with the SSM above all, reports should be brief, accurate, clear and legible. 
  • Ensure CRM is used in line with business expectations.

  • Current driver’s license    
  • Good computer skills, competent in all facets of Windows

  • Be a team player with great internal relationships

Remuneration

We offer an attractive remuneration package for this role negotiable subject to experience

Who you are

You're organised, self-directed, and comfortable working a territory on your own terms. You build good relationships with licensees and venue staff, you follow through, and you take pride in how your brands show up on the shelf. Experience in field sales or trade is a plus, but attitude and work ethic will take you further here.
