Role Overview:
As a Key Account Manager, you will play a critical role in driving keg and pack sales growth for key accounts in the on-premise space (bars, pubs, restaurants) while ensuring the effective distribution of our products across NSW. You’ll be responsible for building strong relationships with customers, wholesalers, and industry stakeholders, and executing joint business plans that support our long-term growth targets.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Achieve sales and distribution growth targets for key accounts and the total NSW business
Develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers, key venues, wholesalers, and industry associations
Build and execute 6-12 month business plans with key customers, leveraging the broader GDA playbook
Collaborate with internal teams including Field Sales Managers, Heads of Sales & Marketing, and the sales and marketing team to align efforts and drive results
Set tasks and accountabilities for the sales team using CRM systems to track progress and drive business outcomes
Provide market intelligence and analysis to support strategic decision-making
Deliver timely sales reporting and lead regular sales meetings to ensure targets and budgets are being met
Take ownership of key projects that will drive future business growth
Support major negotiations and range reviews, ensuring optimal product placement and customer satisfaction
Manage forecasting and wholesaler relationships, and provide guidance on out-of-stock issues
Desired Skills and Experience
About You:
Proven experience in sales, ideally in the beverage or FMCG industries
Strong understanding of the on-premise sales environment, with experience in managing key accounts and distribution channels
Ability to build and maintain effective external relationships with key venues, customers, and industry players
Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Results-oriented, with the ability to drive business outcomes and work autonomously
Familiarity with CRM tools and sales reporting systems
A strategic thinker who can analyse data and translate insights into actionable plans
Willingness to travel as needed, including occasional evening and weekend work
